Blog Trouble!!!!

Hello folks.... well it has been awhile since i have posted anything, and that is because i have been surrounded by crappy computers for awhile.... and basically i only like doing blogs with pictures. Unfortuneatly this one will not have pictures because this computer sucks. Anyways, in short.... since Buenos Aires, i have gone to Iguazu falls, Rio de Janeiro, back to lima, and now im in Quito, Ecuador. Iguazu falls were so nice, but really there is nothing i can say that would explain it well... other than it sure beats niagra falls. Brazil was fantastic. We spent most our time on the beach.... some dayz we started random soccer games with the locals which was such a good experience.... they were really good. Tomorrow im off to the Galapagos Islands, and im very pumped about this. when i get back im heading to lima and the computer should work for posting pictures, so hopefully in the next two weeks i will have many pictures for you.
Ciao!!!!

There´s a first for everything....

well..... here I am in Buenos Aires now, and again im still loving Argentina. What a fantastic country. im still living off steak for the most part, and enjoying every bite of it. Buenos Aires is a pretty intense city, it basically never sleeps, except the odd place in the afternoon during ciesta. So far we have gone to a soccer watch, museum, japanese garden, cemetary, clubs, and just around. The first for everything really has nothing to do with what we have been doing, but more so about me. I bought a proper old mans pipe. .... for smoking tabacoo!!! A pipe is a lot harder to smoke than one would think, but it was damn tasty my first time trying it. They are hard to keep lit though so I need some practice. Another first as you will notice in the photo´s that i shaved my head (doesnt help that it is a bad pic). the deal was if Matt does a mohawk, than i would shave my head. It feels pretty good being in the heat, but im really not sure if i like it. feel free to throw some comments my head, even if they are negative....hey hair grows back... but im getting use to it now. So hey, soccer game was insane, sorry no pics.... but i will when i get home. rob has pics, and a video. and really there is lots to do here. next week we are off to Uruguay for a few days than coming back to Argentina for Iguazu falls. Ciao chico´s y chica´s

Im I still in South America.....??

Ok, so this blog is about Bariloche, Argentina. It was a very interesting little town, and is known as the sister city to aspen, and rightfully so. It was like stepping into a different world. The scenery was incredible, as we were in the lake district of patagonia, and the town had a very swiss alps feel to it, there was even a bunch of saint bernards walking around with those little bucket collars with the red cross on them. the town over looked a large lake and mountains, and the view from our hostel was really good too. Oh yeah, the town is also known for its chocolate and jams, which was easily understandable.... i have never seen such massive chocolate stores in my life, and ohhhhh delicious everything look. I was constantly walking around salavating. Alright so other than the good food .... oh yeah i tried wild boar, and it was quite nice.... anyways, other than good food and nice views, we decided to rent a Car.... a volkwagen Gol.... not a golf but yes a gol. It was a great little car that we ended up beating the shit out of from driving like 6 hours and a dirt and rock road, but it was worth it. We drove south through the lake district and back north on this dirt road seeing cool wild life like roadrunners, abnormaly large rabbits, huge hawks, horses, cows and sheep. When i drove back in the morning on the is road the hawks had masacared like 5 rabbits.... pretty crazy. oh yeah we slept in the car over night and nearly froze to death, but apart from that it was good.

Steak!!!.... Yes Please

When in rome....... or in the case of Argentina, Steaks will be eaten. My god the steak is sooo good here. So apart from skydiving and rafting which i was able to show you pictures, are a a couple of a big park in Mendoza. We spent this entire day in this park, which is absolutley massive, and we were looking for the zoo, but never found it. Nonetheless we had fun playing with a nerf football, getting lost, eating in the middle of the park... and well thats about it. haha the blogs after this will be more exciting for sure.

I Fell 10,000 Feet Today !!!

Yep, so here we are in Mendoza, Argentina and it has been great. We have been rafting, had a crazy St. Patricks day, toured around the city, but today was the best .... we went Skydiving. Holy Crap... I cant even begin to explain how much of a rush it was. The free fall lasted about 15 seconds and it was intense. I went tandom .. obviously, otherwise I would have died. Anyways, I was basically hanging out the side of the plane until the guy jumped and then just enjoyed the ride. After falling 15 seconds at a really fast speed, like 200km per hour, he pulled the shute and I just hung there enjoying the view for about 10 mins or more until we landed. The landing was smooth, and the experience was incredible. I have a DVD which I will have to show to pèople when I get home. Check matts blog for some pics, but really the dvd will show the most. If you get a chance, DO IT, skydiving is the ultimate thrill..... not as scary as you would imagine.

A Busy 2 weeks ....

Alright ..... so rather than boring you with lots of text, I figure the pictures will tell a good story. I will just provide the background as to where we have been and what we were doing.

Potosi, Bolivia ..... this is where we had the pleasure of playing with dynamite in a remote silver mine town, that is the highest city in the world. Playing with dynamite was a lot of fun, and then we climbed into the mines travelling 4 stories deep. It was hard to breath and see, but was a cool unique experiance.

Uyuni, Bolvia ..... This was a pretty crappy town, but there was an amazing pizza and beer pub. Oh yeah, side note, our trip has turned into the the south american pizza tour. We have managed to eat pizza in every place we have been to .... most have been really good. Anyways, we took a 3 day jeep trek into Chile going through the salt flats, which included staying in a hotel made purely from salt. got to see some incredible landscape that seemed very surreal.

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile ..... this is where our jeep tour ended. This town was fantastic.... one of the coolest places I have been to. Every restaurant and bar had bonfires and lots of candles, very cool atmosphere. We also found out that it was the most expensive city in all of Chile. Needless to say, I had to bust out the visa after spending a day at one restaurant for drinks lunch and dinner. It was a blast, and then we got invited to a moon party in the desert ... also a good time. Lastly, we did the valley of the moon tour..... check the pics it was cool, and we even decided to create our own valley of the moons sight for the other tourists ...haha.

We are now in Santiago, Chile .... a very nice city with a cool european feel to it.... pics to come later.

Copacobana and La Paz, Bolivia

alright, so the pictures with lake titicaca and the white church are from copacobana, and the rest are from La Paz. sorry for poor organization but my internet time is running out. a little bit of explanation. the wrestling pics are from the cholita wrestling... a wicked good time. basically fake wrestling with cartoon type characters like ninja turtles and what not, and then in between were the cholitas or girl fights. they were pretty intense. one girl was thrown over the railing into us... it was fantastic. The other pics are just in and aaround la paz, including our hostel which was really great. tonight we are off to potosi, the worlds highest city, where we will see the silver mines and play with dynamite.
